How to Easily Record a Bucked Check in QuickBooks Online

Description

To enter a bounced cheque in QuickBooks Online, click on the + New button followed by Bank Deposit. Select the account where the cheque was deposited. Add any additional fund/s to this deposit then within this section, add the contributions by entering the bounced cheque expense (if any) under item or charge. Then, from the Account field, choose Accounts Receivable and allocate to the customer to whom the check has been issued, which in turn cancels the payment to the customer. Also, include any other charges like banks for not collecting aged checks. Finally, look at the summary and click Save and Close to finish the task. This way, you ensure that all your books are in balance with the reversal of the bounced check.
